There are six teams in the tournament with three in each pool.

The winners of each pool will progress to the main Barclays Churchill Cup Final in Edmonton on 17th June.  

The runners up of each pool will progress to the Barclays Churchill Cup Plate Final also in Edmonton on 17th June.

The bottom placed team in each pool will progress to the Barclays Churchill Cup Bowl Final in Edmonton on 17th June.

Points are awarded as follows:
4 points for a win
2 points for a draw

In addition a team scoring four or more tries in a match is awarded one bonus point and any team losing a pool match by seven points or less also receives a bonus point.
